Kaskazi Kayaks has the ideal location to launch and explore the Table Bay coastline from the sea providing unique and spectacular photo opportunities. We operate from the beach at Three Anchor Bay where all our kayaks are stored. From Three Anchor Bay we embark on a 3 – 5 km journey either towards Granger Bay or Bantry Bay.
The view of Signal Hill, Lion’s Head, Table Mountain and the 12 Apostles is unforgettable. Uninterrupted views of our spectacular mountain range and the sea breeze will leave you feeling rejuvenated and hungry to taste more of what the Mother City has to offer.
The trip to Granger Bay takes us past the Green Point Lighthouse, the wrecks of the Seafarer and RMS Athens and to one of the favourite hangouts for our endemic Heaviside’s dolphins. They are common companions to our trips – particularly on summer mornings.

A really special paddle with Dirk and the team when we got to see whales, a first for me and the whole group. It was breathtaking to be in the company of such awesome creatures (the whales, not Dirk etc!). As usual, we felt well-led and most importantly the guides pointed out the things we failed to see. Oh, and we sae dolphins too. I have been doing this paddocking;e every time I come to Cape Town, well over ten times, and it is never boring. note, pic not from this trip - John
It was just the perfect day. Yes there was penguins, loads of dolphins, and birds. The instructors are friendly and helpful and will take some pics so that you can focus on the views. Personally, I would still recommend taking some motion / sea sickness tablets just to make sure you feel good and enjoy the full trip. - Craig
We had a wonderful time with the morning kajak session. Be aware that the kajak tour is not with sunrise (we did it beginning of March and sun was already up), but this is not any problem. We saw +/- 100 dolphins during our tour, which was amazing. So nice to see the city wake up with the beautiful view of Table Mountain on the background. Would highly recommend this activity during your stay in Cape Town. - Miguel
First time round the weather didn't play along and our kayaking experience was rescheduled with minimal effort. When we did manage to go kayaking it was an amazing experience. The kayaking required little skill and one had absolute confidence in the guides Dirk and Rudi. On the day we got to go the weather was outstanding, we saw a few seals however first prize was when we found ourselves in the middle of a pod of dolphins whose interaction with the group was a true highlight. To view Cape Town from the ocean was a bonus too. I - Linzi
This was my second trip with Kaskazi Kayaks and once again it was an excellent experience. We were so lucky with the beautiful calm weather and we managed to see dolphins! Our guide, Dirk, was very knowledgable and gave us a good tutorial on how to manage the kayak before we set out. He also took some beautiful photos which he sent us so we didn't have to worry about getting our phones wet! Would definitely book again. - Olivia
